I had the privilege of volunteering at Crossroads and the experience was an incredible one that will stick with me for a very long time.
Crossroads Foundation is a Hong Kong based, non-profit organisation serving global need. They believe that, in a broken world that sees too much suffering, they should do all they can to link those who are in need with those who can provide help. So they provide an intersection, literally a crossroads, to bring both together. (http://www.crossroads.org.hk/)
I had the privilege of meeting Paul Okwokene a former child soldier of the Lords Resistance Army of Uganda. Paul’s effervescent joy, optimism, humour, and brilliant smile was a pleasure to photograph. The most outstanding quality I found in Paul is his unfailing trust, faith and love in the Lord. Paul lives to share his experiences with others and spread the word of God to those around him.
Thank you for sharing your story with me Paul Okwokene .
“ Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
